Raiffeisen International and METRO have been reliable partners for many years and have followed similar paths of expansion in Eastern Europe since the fall of communism in recent decades. We have encountered similar social developments. We see a group of very successful people who have mastered the upheavals in Eastern Europe and a group of people who are among the losers of the transformation of society. Making a small contribution to the latter is an important concern for METRO, given the large number of initiatives.

The Stepic CEE Charity ultimately acts in the best sense for the future and on the fundamental values of solidarity of Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen, which makes the organization particularly special.
